Inspired by rugs originating in Morocco, a country in North Africa, modern day Moroccan Mohair rug designs have been updated in simply styled transitional patterns. Moroccan Mohair rugs are made of mohair wool dyed into natural colors. The texture created by this blend of wool creates a unique style. Original Moroccan Azilal rugs were never washed. However, we have developed a technique of soft washing the rugs while leaving the texture intact. This results in beauty that blends well with both relaxed and informal home settings.
